Active Autowerke BMW 335i Front Mount Intercooler

When you create extended higher boost condition or hard acceleration run conditions, the engine will be affected by more heat loading than normal. The eventual outcome is a condition whereby your BMW 335i performance will eventually falter.

Active Autowerke has seen this after simulating multiple back to back runs on the dynometer where the engine heat soaks and the factory intercooler cannot handle the excess heat adequately. As a result, the Intercooler overloads and the intake air charge is not adequately cooled properly.

When you have conditions like this, it seems logical that a larger intercooler over the factory unit would be a good solution.
